Balanced attack leads SPM girls to post-season berth
MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (January 29, 2019) - The St. Peter-Marian clinched its first playoff berth in over 12 seasons after defeating the Eagles of AMSA, 44-27 on the road last night.
Freshman Shirle Major (Worester, Mass.) led all SPM scorers with a team-best 11 points, while sophomore Faith Green (Worcester, Mass.) added nine points on the night. Freshmen Abigail MacDonald (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and Zaylee Ramos (Worcester, Mass.) were also strong, combining for 15 points with eight points and seven points respectively.
St. Peter-Marian (10-3, 0-3 CMC) will be back in action on Thursday as it travels to St. Bernards at 6:30pm.
