SPM Girls Hockey Earns Second Consecutive Post-Season Berth With 6-2 Win Over Leominster

Chaves collecdts three points in Guardians victory

WORCESTER, Mass. (February 4, 2019) - The St. Peter-Marian girls hockey team earned another trip to the post-season this evening as it posted a 6-2 victory on the road for its tenth victory of the year.

Freshman Annabella Chaves (Hudson, Mass.) led the Guardians with three points on one goal and two assists, while eighth grader Emily Hamann (Marlborough, Mass.) netted a pair of goals. Eighth grader Gretchen Swartz (Bolton, Mass.) added one score and one helper in the win.

In net, freshman Mia Dang (Worcester, Mass.) stopped 22 shots for the Guardians.

St. Peter-Marian (10-6) will be back in action on Sunday as it participates in an Auburn High Tournament at 9am.
